Abigail Daane

Hometown: Sherwood, OR, USA

Current Position: Physics Faculty at South Seattle College, WA

Interests/Hobbies: Dancing, hiking, biking, crocheting, reading, playing con mijas, sustainability, gardening, active learning, and social justice in teaching!

What made you interested in our work: It’s challenging to pinpoint the exact moment, but I believe my passion for teaching began when I started instructing dance at the age of 14. My love for science blossomed in the 8th grade thanks to an inspiring teacher. My drive for promoting equitable teaching was influenced by my journey as a woman in STEM classes, and it deepened with every interaction I had with students.
