NARST/NSTA presentations
Clausell had a great time presenting with collaborators and teachers at both the National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST) Conference and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Conference, held in Denver. At the NARST Conference, Clausell presented with Michelle Brown, a postdoctoral scholar at Florida International University. At the NSTA Conference, he presented with physics teachers he is currently working with: Praisy Poulan, Jay Kiruma, Leslie Chamberlain, and Katey Shirey. Dr. Mathis., Barbara Schneider, Joe Krajick, and Sheneka Williams (all professors at MSU) have been awarded a grant from the US Department of Education Education and Innovation for Research for roughly 8 million dollars to develop culturally responsive approaches to project-based learning for physics and chemistry in Alabama and North Carolina.
